At the TBT Research Group, based at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, we are dedicated to advancing our understanding of chronic diseases and developing new therapeutic strategies. Our primary focus is to identify and investigate the anticancer potential of lead compounds through comprehensive in vitro and in vivo studies. We have a particular interest in prostate cancer, including castration-resistant forms, and are committed to uncovering novel molecular mechanisms and therapeutic targets.
Our team combines many techniques such as multi-omic tools, in silico modelling and ADMET approaches in the pursuit of lead compounds. We also investigate the bioactivity and toxicity of natural and synthetic compounds, with a particular focus on fermented foods and ingredients. In addition, our research includes the development of novel spheroid models, small molecule biocompatibility studies and biocompatibility assessment of biomaterials and nanoparticles.
Through our interdisciplinary and collaborative approach, we have built a strong network of partnerships with international research institutions, enabling us to address some of the most pressing challenges in medical biotechnology.
